Breakaway Reflective Cat Collar with AirTag Holder

A cat collar built around one principle: if it catches on something, it lets go. The breakaway clasp is the most important feature here, and the reflective strip and AirTag pocket are what make it useful rather than just safe.

What it does

Holds an AirTag against your cat's neck so you can find them if they slip out, and reflects headlights so drivers see them at night.

Why breakaway matters

Cats climb, squeeze through fences and push through hedges. A normal buckle collar can catch on a branch and hold. A breakaway clasp is designed to release under that kind of load, which is why it will also come off if pulled firmly by hand. That is the trade-off, not a defect. If your cat reliably loses collars, a breakaway is still the right choice indoors-and-out — a lost collar is cheaper than an injured cat.

Fitting it

Measure the neck, then aim for a snug fit with room for two fingers. A loose breakaway collar snags more easily and releases at the wrong moment. The adjustable range covers kittens through adult cats, and the bell can be removed if it bothers them.

The AirTag holder

The pocket is stitched into the collar and holds an AirTag securely against the strap. AirTag sold separately. Make sure the tag is seated fully before you let the cat out.

Care and checks

• Wipe clean; the strap is waterproof
• Tug-test the breakaway clasp monthly — if it releases under very light pressure, replace the collar
• Check the reflective strip has not worn through

What it is not

It is not a tracking subscription and it is not a GPS collar. It holds an AirTag, and AirTags rely on nearby iPhones to report a location — useful in a suburb, less so in open country.
